True Cloisonné
Throughout time, the Cloisonne process has been used to create the finest jewelry for Kings, Queens, and Emperors. True Cloisonne, also known as hard enamel, is created from powdered glass with mineral colors. This is fused at high heat to form a vitreous color fill. Because the colors are glass, they can not be Pantone matched. Luckily, we have many different colors to chose from.
We create Cloisonne pins by striking your design into copper then hand filling each color in it’s exact position. Next we fire each pin in a kiln at 1400+ degrees farenheit (800 C) to fuse the glass. We repeat the process until the color-filled spaces are completely full and fused. Once filled, we grind and polish the pin to a flat jewel-like surface.
Cloisonne pins are the most highly sought after by collectors. These pins have the longest life expectancy of any pin. They are known for possessing the look and feel of Fine Jewelry.
If you are looking for a superior quality pin, the True Cloisonne Pin is your best choice.
